The pièce de résistance of our weekend away…Lunch at the ever popular Noma.

Just a few of the delights we encountered over a long lunch.

Tucked away in the boat yard of Copenhagen, Noma was voted the number one restaurant in the world again this year. Lucky enough to get a table, we had lunch there on the Saturday afternoon of our weekend away.  The menu was split in two halves, the little canapy starters came out at a rapid pace followed by the larger plates more slowly accompanied by complimentary wines. The attention to detail and delicate presentation of the dishes was superb and everything had a story behind it. From eating the contents of a plant pot with radishes sunk in an edible soil to a light sponge cake that evaporated in your mouth everything was thought out to a new level. Seasonal and foraged ingredients were key to every dish and all carefully prepared upstairs. Every dish was a ‘photo moment’ and I wanted to share my favourite to show how inspiring food can be…
