Fairytale Party

At the weekend I went to a friends fancy dress birthday party. They had completely transformed a marquee and the down stairs of the house into all different areas inspired by various films. The front door was like the entrance to Narnia and the opening into the marquee was inspired by Charlie and the chocolate factory with candy canes and mushrooms. The mad hatters tea party looked so cute set up at one edge next to a middle eastern seating area…the tables had ‘eat me’ and ‘drink me bottles’ on with massive bows…all under a sea of balloons…fabulous!

The Duke of Cumberland…picture perfect

On Saturday myself and my partner Mikey, went for an afternoon drink at The Duke of Cumberland in Henley, a picturesque pub in the heart of the countryside. Surrounded by gardens with tables set at intervals on the various levels it was a perfect setting for the afternoon. Trickling streams joined ponds surrounded by reeds and wildlife, all overlooking the rolling hills into the distance…
